Hello,
My names Cameron Allan and I’m 16 years old. I do performing arts as one of my courses for my GCSE’s and recently was given the role of Johnny from Jerusalem, as part of our scripted plays unit. I have literally fallen in love with the piece and think it is an epic story of old England. The problem I have is that my teachers have cut a lot of the script so the story is not all told, the language has been tweaked to suit younger audiences and the whole group lacks direction and inspiration due to the lack of experience and life lived.
A minority of us have felt the party atmosphere, the group camaraderie and special relationships the characters have in the show. I realise we are not professional actors but this is our last ever public performance and we want to go out with a bang and prove we are talented young aspiring actors/actresses, we also have a massive rivalry with the drama students and making this show high quality really would make a dream come true. I really love acting and I want to do this show justice and prove to my peers I can do it and not get the piece done and leave to college. your help would be much appreciated!
I have no real basis for inspiration, I was wondering if you could help me? I had heard your name before I found Jerusalem but since the beginning of this unit I have been studying you as my main inspiration. I would be so grateful if you could reply to me and help both myself and my class mates and hopefully put on a respectful interpretation of this fantastic show.
perhaps you could even be our guest of honour and watch our show, it would be unbelievable and so amazing! Our show is on the 12th March 2012 at Tanbridge House School, Horsham, West Sussex.
sorry it has been so long winded but I really would appreciate your support and expertise!
Thank you so much!
Cameron
Hi,
I am looking for a full version of the BBC-broadcast of Richard II (Globe Theatre 2003). I saw the clips on youtube and think this production is simply the best of this great and difficult play. Can someone send me a copy or tell me where to find one? I would send you a copy of any shakespeare play (just tell me which) in return.
Thank you in advance
